Domain Pools can supply it's customers with a range of coping materials. We use and recommend only natural stones as they are hard wearing, long lasting, low maintenance and will keep their beauty for many years to come. They are suitable for use around swimming pools and outdoor paving areas.
Choosing a natural stone adds value to your project well in excess of its cost. Most people choose a stone based on the colour scheme they want to achieve. For example, if you wanted a grey tone, you would choose a Granite, while Sandstone, Travertine and Almond Granite give warmer earthy tones. The types of stone we supply are:
- Travertine - This stone is characterised by pitted holes and troughs in its surface. Although these troughs occur naturally, they suggest to some eyes that considerable wear and tear has occurred over many years. Some installers use a grout to fill these holes, whereas others leave them open — travertine can even be purchased "filled" or "unfilled."
- Himalayan sandstone - Imported from India. It is much more harder wearing than Sydney sandstone and has less colour variations. Cool to walk on and low maintenance, it gives a feeling or warmth to any backyard.
Its available in either a "Split" finish which has colour & thickness variations from tile to tile - perfect for a bush setting or as a "Honed" finish which is relatively uniform in colour and thickness - ideal to acheive a contemporary look.
- Granite - An extremely durable and stain resistant stone. It is the hardest wearing stone you can get. Perfect for use with grey colour tones as it is available from light to dark greys. Alternative colours are chocolate brown and almond. Highly recommended for use around swimming pools due to its resistance to pool chemicals.
